Our Philosophy
At Healing Waves Acupuncture, Laura believes in the power of individualized care. Her approach is rooted in the belief that physical pain intertwines with emotional discomfort, and both aspects require healing. Recognizing this intricate connection, she dedicates one-on-one time to each patient, tailoring her treatments because everyone's journey to well-being is uniquely their own. In her acupuncture clinic, she may also incorporate various modalities such as cupping, gua sha and e-stim to enhance overall well-being and restore optimal body system function. The body has an innate ability to heal itself. Our goal is to help facilitate that healing process through the use of acupuncture and other holistic therapies. We focus on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Meet Laura
Laura is a dedicated PA board-certified licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) with a passion for guiding individuals towards a balanced and happy life through preventative health practices. With a compassionate heart, Laura, supports and guides others who wish to maintain a healthier, more harmonious life, on their path to wellness by offering a personalized approach in her acupuncture clinic.
Having always been drawn to the principles of holistic health and preventative well-being, Laura intensely studied and completed her Master’s degree in Acupuncture at Won Institute of Graduate Studies, a Korean Buddhist school. With her knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and 5 Element Acupuncture she treats a broad spectrum of physical and emotional health conditions.
Laura offers comprehensive care for adults of all ages and genders, focusing on acupuncture for pain relief such as: musculoskeletal issues, pain management, arthritis, migraines, allergies and sinus discomfort, digestive discomfort. Acupuncture for emotional well being: PTSD, stress, anxiety addiction, as well as women’s health and menopause.
Laura's professional journey includes invaluable experiences at South Philly Community Acupuncture and Island Life Acupuncture. Beyond the acupuncture table, Laura is a true enthusiast of life's simple pleasures. She finds solace
and inspiration at the beach, or in the soothing presence of water, fostering
her connection with nature. Laura's green thumb is evident in her love
for gardening. She also enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and
spending time with family.
Meet Stephanie
Stephanie is a Certified Reiki Master of almost 10 years and a Certified Holistic Practitioner and Holistic Nutritionist with nearly 20 years devoted to organic living, herbal wisdom, and natural wellness. Stephanie wanted to create a sacred space to honor the connection between mind, body, and spirit which is why she started her own business, Root To Petal Essence, LLC. Through Reiki, holistic nutrition, herbal guidance, and spiritual wellness, Stephanie creates a nurturing space to help you reconnect with your mind, body & spirit and return to a place of balance, harmony, and healing. Stephanie believes that healing is a deeply personal journey. She believes true wellness is more than simply feeling better- it is about coming back into alignment with yourself. By honoring the body's wisdom, nourishing the spirit, and reconnecting with nature, we create space for transformation- from the root to the petal, and everything in between.
A true lover of all living things, Stephanie feels a deep spiritual connection to animals, nature, and every living creature that graces this Earth. She finds beauty and a sacred connection in the natural world, honoring the divine energy that flows through all living things. You can often find Stephanie wandering in the woods, hiking, biking and enjoying nature at its best. When Stephanie is not wandering in the woods, she is singing with her husband in their band that they created together. Stephanie's love extends beyond the natural world, embracing the beauty, emotion, and inspiration found in music and art.
